Paddling the 'Big Loop' Canoe Route
Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands
LAT 44.78
LONG -78.93
We braved clouds of blackflies and set off to explore the 'Big Loop' canoe route in the Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands Provincial Park. This 45km route is best tackled in a relaxing 3+ days due to the sheer amount of portages. This challenging route allows you to catch a glimpse of the parks differing landscapes, from barren rocky shores, vast wetlands and stands of mature pines. You can start/end the route on either Devil's, Moore, Gull or Head Lake.
