We embarked on a trip to Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park (also known as Kawartha Highlands signature Site) in August 2011. This is a nice easy route that is suited for novice canoeists. A great trip to introduce family and friends to canoeing as it's not strenuous or too remote, yet still is nearby and natural. You can embark on a longer loop trip to Stoplog Lake following the first few lakes in this video.
