An ultra endurance, 202km & 34hr paddling marathon from Kingston to Ottawa through a UNESCO world heritage site. Racers paddle the Rideau Canal and portage 22 times around lock stations as they race non-stop against the clock and each other. Unfortunately foul weather ultimately led to the cancellation of the race roughly halfway through the race. Race reporter Brad Jennings tackled the race, paddling close to 100km before the race was cancelled.
